I actually have been thinking about the armband colors, and I like the idea that Frederick Stoss suggested below. about multicolor arm bands. Black works, because we're mourning for the potential loss of democracy. But the others have their strengths as well. One option could be letting people choose, although I'd exclude red just because although Mayday comes out of the socialist tradition, and is identified with it, I think it's important for anti-Trump resistance to be as broad as possible

It is good to be thinking that "the goal of the movement is to engage people as broadly as possible." But I think armbands on one day is inadequate. What we need are "political" buttons that are worn everywhere all the time. They should be of a similar graphic theme but with just a few different messages. Only three colors: red , white, blue. They should have the date 11.3.26, election day. We should see millions of people wearing these to 1) identify our allies and see how many of us there are and 2) to encourage others to consider how they can join us. I have made and given away more that 300 so far. Happy to share the designs.
